Jan has been and continues to working with colleagues and Resident Groups in response to the Spelthorne Borough Council Local Plan Consultation .

Together with Malcolm Beecher, Cllr Lagden and Cllr Siva (Labour), he set up a Green Belt campaign Petition which has kindly been supported by Chris Packham

Jan has been listening to and working with the views of residents, local groups and local business about the proposals, and preparing supporting materials and consulting experts, including supportive MEPs like Alexandra Phillips who visited some of the sites under threat

Spelthorne Council's Local Green Space Assessment Methodology Consultation
Jan worked working with colleagues and Resident Groups to respond to the Spelthorne Borough Council Consultation on Local Green Space Assessment Methodology which closed on 4th June 2019.
Unless we act swiftly to submit comprehensive replies to the consultation document, we risk losing our green spaces for good.

Jan held an urgent meeting was held on 28th May at the Staines Methodist Church in Staines with concerned groups where our analysis of the consultation document and recommendations to be put forward to the council / strategies were discussed

He compiled and submitted a Response To The Consultation

Together with Cllr Lagden and Cllr Siva (Labour), he set up a campaign Petition to support the Response to the Consultation
